You are invited to join us for the Christian Prayer Caucus.
This is a weekly Christian prayer and worship gathering in the Michigan State Capitol, hosted by Legislators and various church leaders.
We meet once a week, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM on Thursday mornings.

Did you know that church services in the nation’s Capitol began 232 years ago?
Ten states throughout the nation are doing similar actions and it is not new to our country.
Construction was just beginning on the nation’s new Capitol building in Washington, D.C. in 1793.
Both houses of Congress approved the use of the building for church services.
Services began to be held in the Capitol in 1795, just two years into the 7-year construction project.
They rotated preachers, who were from all the Christian denominations of the 13 new States.
There were no other church services held in the city until several years after Capitol construction was completed in 1800.
Services continued to be held in the Capitol until well after the Civil War.
When You Visit for Service
Enter the State Capitol Building via the entrance (under the main steps) on the East side of the building.
Once inside, take the elevators (or the stairs) to the 2nd floor.
Public welcomed.
